Welcome to the magic clock. Above you, you should see a picture of a
clock. In a moment, I will ask you to put your finger on the twelve, and think of a secret
number from 1 to 12.
You will spell your secret number, moving clockwise around the clock, one space for each
letter in your secret number. For example, if your secret number were 5, you would start
on the 12, and spell F-I-V-E, moving one digit clockwise for each letter. Your new number
would than be 4.
So right now, pick your secret number from 1 to 12, and place your finger on the twelve on
the picture of the clock above.

Now move your finger clockwise around the clock, the
number of letters in your secret number.
When you have stopped, your finger will be on a new number.
Spell the new number that is now under your finger, continuing clockwise around the clock.
If you need to, keep going around the clock.
Your finger should be under a new number, spell this new number now, continuing around the clock. When you have stopped this time.

I can see that you are not on the 2, or the 4, so I
will take them away.
And I can see your not on the 8 or the 12 either. So I'm going to take them away.
Once a number has been removed, you may not move onto that spot.
One final time now, spell the number that is
currently under your finger, moving clockwise around the clock, and skipping any empty
spaces.
I can see you're not on the 3 or the 10. Neigther are you on the 5.
So I have taken all of those away.
I want to remind you that I have no idea what your secret number was, nor how many letters
each number had.
I also don't know the number of moves you have made.
You could be anywhere, but even though we are miles apart, I know exactly where you are.
