Physical Characteristics
Did you know the largest shark known is called the Whale Shark? Some grow to be almost 50 feet long! One of the smallest sharks is the Midwater Shark which only grows to around 10 inches long.
Did you know sharks have been known to shed as many as 30,000 teeth in a lifetime?
Sharks have many rows of teeth. As the old teeth fall out, new ones take their place.
Sharks have 5-7 pairs of gill slits.
