Flamingo Life and Death
We are not sure the average life of a flamingo. One has been on record to have lived as long as 44 years!
Larger birds are usually the biggest threat to flamingos. The eggs and chicks are attacked by many types of vultures and storks.
In some places in the world, flamingo eggs are sold and eaten as a delicacy. In Roman times they even ate the tongue of the flamingo!
